Awards: the most deadly sport is … mountaineering to hunting and diving

You value your life? Avoid mountaineering. With 29 deaths recorded in 2010, this sport is the most deadly effect according to the findings of the survey conducted by the Institute of Health Surveillance (VS). The public school has collected extensive data on the Internet from institutions, sports associations and media to determine what were the most deadly disciplines.
Beyond climbing, mountain sports are those with the greatest risk with a total of 99 deaths in 2010. Water sports (50 deaths) and hunting (27) completed the podium. In detail, mountaineering is the most deadly sport to hunting, skiing and scuba diving (23 people each). Among the major team sports, rugby has only had to identify a death.
Cycling deaths (130 to 140 per year) as the drownings (500 deaths per year in France every summer) have not been taken into account, most of the dead are to be deplored outside purely sports. "In 2010, 246 people died after a sport in France," said Bernard Thélot, the researcher who conducted the investigation, in an article published online in the journal Journal of Sports Traumatology. In particular we learn that fishing can be a dangerous practice: Ten people are dead indeed teasing the stud, the fault in the vicinity of power lines.
